- Sheet metal snips must only be used to cut thin sheets of non-hardened steel.
- The cutting tool may only be used by hand without any additional aids.
- The cutting tool must be ground regularly and professionally. Dull cutting tools increase the risk of injury.

- Rub the cutting edge with a lightly oiled cloth (remove material dust) in regular cycles, depending on the degree of soiling.
